The Kuća (pronounced “KOO-cha”) is the main house and our home, which we share with guests from early summer to autumn. It has four guest bedrooms, beautifully furnished in timeless style, each with its own wash-basin. Each bedroom shares a bathroom and WC with one other room.
Each guest room in the main house features shuttered windows that look out across the surrounding hills and forests, perfect for nature spotting. If you are staying during the colder months, our classic cast-iron radiators and log-burning stoves will keep you warm. During the hot summers, the thick stone walls, solid wood shutters and fans will keep you cool.
Food service during your stay
All bookings for guests staying in the Kuća include a generous breakfast served on the terrace or in the “konoba”. Most guests also join our sociable dinners, offered on Wednesday and Saturday evenings, when we prepare a communal three-course meal. Please book your seats for dinner a minimum of two days in advance. And if you’d like to spend more evenings on the terrace or by the fire, drinks and snack boards are available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. Learn more about our food and drink here.
If you would like to prepare meals for yourself, please book the Kućica, which is self-catering.
For those keen to cook with us and staying longer (a week or more), it may be possible to book a cooking class or other culinary activity with Anna (subject to availability).
The Kuća will suit anyone looking for rural tranquility and makes a great base for exploring the region. Our guests enjoy day-trips to the coast and nearby hilltop towns, beautiful early summer and autumn walks and cycle rides, and making the most of the area’s fantastic restaurants and wineries. Then, returning to Bolara 60, meeting other guests, dining together and sharing the terrace and garden spaces.
Keeping our home cosy for everyone
The Kuća is a shared house, where guests join us to appreciate a peaceful rural area. Quiet hours are between 10:30 pm and 8:30 am.
With apologies to the parents of little children, the Kuća is not suitable for children under the age of 8. Guests of all ages are very welcome in the self-catering Kućica at any time of year.
So as not to disturb our other guests, we do not allow guests to bring pets to the Kuća at any time. Our own cats are not allowed in guest bedrooms, and naturally, we keep them away from indoor cooking and dining activities, so those with mild allergies should not suffer. If you would like to bring your pet dog, please talk to us about booking the Kućica.
Both the Kuća and Kućica are non-smoking.
